The Feed-In Tariff is Increasing!

For the many people who are currently on the standard 6.5c/kWh, you are finally in luck as the Government has announced a 41% increase to 9.3c/kWh. This might help reduce your power bills in a time where the general cost of living has increased significantly.

Even though this is great news for both the industry and the customer, the aim should always be to use the power your system produces within the household, rather than aiming to send it back to the grid. In order to do so, it is best to adjusts your power consumption to align with their systems production, when possible. In other words, you want to spread the load during the day to minimise drawing from the grid during the night.
Little things like turning your dishwasher on after breakfast instead of after dinner, setting the aircon to cool during the day instead of when you get home, etc.
